
A magnificently set city, Seattle is a great place to relax and to have a quick getaway from it all. Set around the shore of Elliott Bay with Lake Washington behind and Mount Rainier in the distance, it is a picturesque holiday destination. But the Underground Tour, while includes a tour of Pioneer Square, takes you to see a hidden Seattle that lies underground. The area is about 25 square blocks of hollow space under Pioneer Square. The tours last for an hour and a half and run very frequently.
In any town, the local market is always exciting. In Seattle, this is the Pike Place Market. It is one of the most famous landmarks and is not to be missed. You can buy fresh vegetable and fruits, or fish and meats. In addition there are numerous shops, including health food, herb stores, craft stores and flower stands. Pick up some freshly baked pastries or enjoy a meal at one of the cute restaurants. Choose a handmade souvenir from one of the stalls. Enjoy the busy market air while feeling the ocean breeze lightly blowing. Pike Place Market is an interesting place to stroll through, even if you don’t want to buy anything.
Another reason to visit Seattle would be the Space Needle. This is a great place to get souvenirs from Seattle and to see the city from a distance. The Sky City rotating restaurant offers a pleasant experience to eat your meal 600 feet up in the air! After finishing your meal and tour in the sky, go down to the mall at bottom of the structure to relax.
Also worth visiting is the Woodland Park Zoo, which houses over 1,100 animals and reptiles and birds. It is family favorite destination. For some history, make your way to the Northwest Seaport Maritime Heritage Center. Become educated in nautical history.
